So when I say sickness can be good, a few reasons should quickly come to mind - one being that without sicknesses, most ailments are undiagnosable - so we'd have a whole lot of idiopathic deaths and we wouldn't know where to start to find the causes.
Sickness is the key method in noticing that a problem has occurred and has destabilized the normal physiological flow of reactions in the human body. When a person begins to feel extremely hot, the body responds by causing the person to sweat profusely, redden (though mostly seen in the very fair skinned people) and feel weak.
Why?
By sweating excessively, the water layer released onto the skin will aid in cooling it down.
The reddening occurs due to the dilation of the blood vessels closest to the skin surface in an aim to release excess heat by radiation and lastly, the feeling of weakness will urge the person to remain in a relaxed position and reduce movement so as not to aggravate the heat production further via muscle contraction.
As shown above, though the actual feeling of the sickness isn't enjoyable, it is actually all for the eventual well being of the person, and so, it's a good thing after all.
Lest we forget - without sickness we wouldn't have a job in medicine to aspire to - so ladies and gentlemen, sickness is good!
